The Iranian Government together with the Martial Arts Federation of Iran and the World Muaythai Council organized professional Muaythai event in Teheran on August 17, 2007. One day before the event the organizers held a press-conference in Tehran and checked the weight of the participants. The tournament featured 5 Muaythai superfights each of 5 rounds by 2 minutes duration and one K-1 rules super fight. This was the first ever professional Muaythai fights organized on the land of Islamic Republic of Iran.

One day before Iranian promoters changed the opponent for Vagif Abdullaev, who represents Dubai Fight Academy, boxer Hassan Al Mohammadi was replaced by another Iranian fighter - Akbar Karim. Fight Soytany (Iran) 84kg VS Alimohamady Hassein (Iran) 84.5kg for WMC Iranian Champion title was cancelled.
