The press conference concerning the participation of U.A.E. Muaythai Team in upcoming World Muaythai Championship 2007 (IFMA) was organized at luxurious Royal Thai General Consulate Residence. Consul-General of Thailand (Mr.Pasan Taparak) opened the conference and wished pleasant trip to Thailand and good luck to the team. The highly ranked official expressed hope that the UAE team will return back to the country with medals.

Then the founder of Muaythai in U.A.E. - Vladimir Burdun took the opportunity to thank Consul-General of Thailand for arranging such a wonderful venue for press conference. He continued after with log speech in which he expressed his gratitude to all companies and people who supports the young U.A.E. Muaythai Team. Special thanks were given to main sponsors - Thai Airways, real estate company REDS, and to the famous provider of Muaythai equipment - Fairtex who sponsored the equipment for UAE National Muaythai Team.

The press conference was highlighted by Dubai Sport Channel. A lot of journalists from Dubai newspapers attended this press conference. The team was announced as follows:

The official Carrier of the Team - Thai Airways was represented by Area Sales Manager, Mr. Henry Boutros who said that they very glad to be part of sport especially the sport of Muaythai and hope that this cooperation will be successful one and continue further in the future.

Representative of one of the biggest sponsors REDS (real estate & development) said that they are happy to develop in this country not only real estate but also healthy and sportive young generation.

Then Mohammed Abbas took word to thank the Ministry of Sports for support, he informed the journalist that all U.A.E. Team members were allowed to make it off their work and study for preparation and participation in World Muaythai Championship.

The representative of Octopus said that their PR & advertising agency always likes to be involved in sports especially in such beautiful martial art as Muaythai, because all what is done by Dubai Fight Academy is done for the better future of the nation, …being sporty means being healthy and successful member of society - he added.

After the organizers had to give word to the well-known Dubai fighter – Najmeddian Al Haddad also known as “Scorpion” by the way he brought with him his lucky pet – live scorpion. Najmeddin thanked the Dubai Fight Academy, for making real the dreams of young people who want to became fighters and to compete in World Championships.

After the official part UAE Team members worked on pads for journalists. Consul-General of Thailand Mr. Pasan Taparak could not help and also kicked the pads. The journalists were surprised to see Thai official kicking pads in business suit. Meanwhile Muaythai is compulsory sport in Royal Thai Army and in every Thai deep in his stomach is a chokemuay.
