The next four weeks will be extremely busy for IFMA as the event calendar is stacked with large-scale competitions.

There will be three separate major events starting with the Asian Martial Arts Games (AMAGs), organized by the Olympic Committee of Asia (OCA) in Bangkok from 25 April – 3 May. The event will be under the IFMA umbrella and its Asian arm, FAMA. Twenty countries are expected to compete in the sport of Muaythai.

The IFMA Asia Pacific Championships are part of the Arafura Games. The next stop for IFMA will be Darwin Australia from the 9-17 of May for the Arafura Games. The event is under the umbrella of IFMA’s continental arm, the Oceania Muaythai Federation (OMF) and Federation Amateur Muaythai Asia (FAMA). Twenty countries from the Asia/Pacific region will take part in the Muaythai competition.

Liepaja, Latvia will host the European Championships from 15 -22 of May. Over thirty countries are scheduled to participate in this IFMA sanctioned event under the umbrella of the European Muaythai Federation (EMF).

IFMA would like to thank all organizers, especially the Olympic Committee of Asia for hosting the AMAG’s in Bangkok and also the President of FAMA, Mr. Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. We appreciate their hard work and promotion of the sport of Muaythai.
