His Excellency, General Pitchitr Kullavanijaya Privy Councillor to His Majesty the King of Thailand and Honorary President of WMC and IFMA, is well known for his love of the sport of Muaythai as well as his Muaythai Against Drugs youth program which encourages youth in Thailand to stay off drugs while practicing a healthy lifestyle. The free program provides a safe haven for kids while combining education with the tradition and values of the sport of muaythai. It is open to children throughout Thailand.

Richard Stephenson, CEO of California based RISARC Productions approached the WMC and IFMA in Bangkok for cooperation in organising his annual CCGI charity event. The CCGI’s aim is to provide computer learning centres to schools throughout the Caribbean while encouraging computer literacy in education. These principles aligned with the Muaythai Against Drugs Campaign and H.E. General Pitchitr Kullavanijaya was proud to involve the youth from his program in the initiative.

Seven youngsters from the Muaythai Against Drugs Program were selected to travel to Jamaica to perform traditional muaythai demonstrations and musical performances. This was a unique opportunity for the children of Thailand to interact with the children in Jamaica for a unique cultural exchange. The Jamaican children performed traditional Jamaican dances and songs. The event was packed with celebrities from the United States and Jamaica. President of the World Muaythai Council, General Chetta Thanajaro; IFMA President Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan; and World Muaythai Council Vice President & Host of Contender Asia, Stephan Fox made the long journey to Montego Bay, Jamaica from Bangkok, Thailand in support of this noble cause. The exchange was a once in a lifetime opportunity for the children from both sides of the world.
