China is garnering tremendous attention in the Muaythai community with its upcoming promotions. Beijing, China will host the upcoming 2010 SportAccord Combat Games. This historical 8-day competition will feature all thirteen IOC and GAISF/SportAccord recognised martial arts and combat sports. World class athletes from will converge in Beijing for this monumental occasion to be held at the 2008 Olympic venues. Additionally, monthly Muaythai promotions will be held all over China to promote Muaythai and Chinese fighters leading up to the Combat Games. Events will be organised with Wulinfeng, which is one of the top 10 programmes of Henan TV. In Oct/Nov, the Cosmo Wulifeng Challenge will take place, in which 8 international fighters from 5 different weight classes will be invited to compete for the grand championship.

Thailand VS China The first of many events took place last week under the billing of as Sino-Thai Wulifeng Fights. Three Thai fighters travelled to China for the occasion; 65Kg (Siamchai), 70Kg (Pitchai), and 75Kg (Madsua). Once again the Chinese showed that they are gaining strength in Muaythai. In the end, it was 2 wins for Thailand 2 for China. The World MuaythaiCouncil would like to thank Mr. Jiang  for all the hard work. The WMC and IFMA are dedicated to promoting the sport of Muaythai heavily in over the next 12 months to ensure that the competition venues will be packed to the last seat.  Congratulations to China!
