Athletes give Thumbs Up to Jonkoping

The chair of the Athletes Commission, Janice Lyn, from Canada, chaired the Athletes Commission meeting discussing the present championship and all upcoming future events. The athletes praised the location for training sports facilities, training area with two boxing rings to ensure that all athletes have worked their last training days.

Athletes also discussed upcoming major events like the Youth World Championship in Bangkok, the World Martial Arts Masterships in Cheongju, the World Games Qualifier in Kazan and regional games such as the upcoming European Championships in Croatia, Asian Beach Games in Vietnam and the African Championships in Mauritius.

Janice Lyn made a presentation to the IFMA executives on all athlete developments in the Athletes Career Program and the involvement of athletes in the overall decision making processes of IFMA. Recommendation was made to the executive board to continue for IFMA to strive for excellence on all levels as much as the athletes strive for the athletes to strive to become champions.
