South African native, George ‘the Thaitanium George’ Micouris from Club Mina (Dubai) is going to make his return. George suffered an unceremonious setback to his fighting career, sustaining a broken arm as a result of unfortunate block. He was operated after the fight night and has now titanium plate inserted into his arm. “What Doesn't Kill Me Makes Me Stronger” - says George. After this tough loss in the first round of the Junior Middleweight title fight to eventual champion Najmeddin Al Haddad, George Micouris is looking to return to his winning ways and move back into title contention. In his path will be tough Thai boxing debutant, Mohammed Sanad. This Emirates national trains together with his friend Najmeddin al Haddad and represents Warriors Forever Gym (Sharjah).

Najmeddin Al Haddad from Warriors Forever Gym (Sharjah), is going to fight against Zinolabedin Zokaevan from Iran. Both fighters has already fought each other in 2005 in Sharjah on local kickboxing event organize by Abdollah Ghazimi – an owner of kickboxing club in Sharjah. In that fight Najmeddin was disqualified for illegal kick.

Ahmed Saadi from Dubai Fight Academy Gym vs Artem Myagkov coming out from Russia. Ahmed is quite experienced fighter; he has 22 fights, 15 of which he won. Artem is not that experienced, only 6 professional fights, 4 wins, but well known for his devastating “flying knees”, that is easy when you are 186 cm tall. He is also known for bad temper and got nickname “Psycho” for his berserk behavior in the ring.

Lebanese fighter from Dubai Fight Academy Gym Abdallah Abou Hamdan is going to fight Ian Coe from Minotaur Gym (Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire UK). Last year Ian defeated Christer Kvammen (Norway) and Kim Olsen (Samoa) and became silver medallist on Muaythai Amateur World Championship 2006 (Bangkok, Thailand) organized by IFMA. Ian has 11 professional fights eight of them he won, 3 lost, 3 of his fights Ian won by KO. Abdallah Abou Hamdan AKA “Hooligan” has fought in 14 professional bouts, has 9 wins, 5 loses, 4 wins by KO. The Lebanese is really spectacular fighter mostly because of his well-timed highkicks. This fight is one of the most participated fights of the night.

Two very athletic guys, Claude Kouam who is originally from Cameroon and Aymen Ben Ali from Tunisia, will bash each other in the ring on 20th of April. Claude is an experienced and clever boxer, but Aymen has got powerful lowkicks and destroying knees. This is going to be puncher-against-kicker clash.

The main event of the evening will be the fight Malik Omarov vs Olley Watson for intercontinental WBL Muaythai title. Malik represents Dubai Fight Academy Gym and Olley represents Minotaur Gym (Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire UK). Olley is upcoming British talent who at the age of 16 won World Muaythai Championship in junior division. Coached by one of the most respected British trainer Paul Taylor this young lad knows no fear. Olley already fought in 22 professional fights and has twenty wins over experienced opponents. Olley will be taking on - tough Dubai boxer Malik Omarov. Originally from Russia he started his martial arts career in his hometown Makhachckala. Being very successful at many martial arts he eventually turned into Muaythai and won in January 2007 WBL Middle East Champions title. Both fighters are young and hungry for victories and glory. This for sure is going to be a spectacular fight.

War on the Shore-2 professional event sponsored by Damas, Danik group and Creative Concepts real estate. Also great support the organizers received from the venue of the event - Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina.
