Prai and the Promoters Unite to help Japan’s Tsunami Tragedy (PART 1)

01.04.2011
Prai and the Promoters Unite to help Japan’s Tsunami Tragedy (PART 1)The promoters of the “Suek Wan Ruam Palang” program have agreed that a percentage of the profits will be given to help Japan recover from its recent earthquake and tsunami.

Mr. Sanam Praipanyarak along with the other 3 promoters went to Sor Sommai camp to watch Sakesun Or Kwanmuang, Lomtale and Petchbankaek Sor Baankaek practice. The promoters were quite surprised because Sakesun was also among the top 3 to challenge for the best boxer award. Even though he did not win the prize, it was already a big step for his career. The promoters said they hoped that Sakesun will continue to work hard and improve because his chances will come in the future.

The promoters also admired the Muaythai boxers of Chun Kiatpetch because he produces a lot of stars from his camp. Mr. Sommai Sakulmetta, one of the organizers, said that most of the boxers in the “Suek Wan Ruam Palang” program are promoted by Chun Kiatpetch. Mr. Sanamprai told the boxers at his camp to prepare themselves before the match especially with their fitness because to be able to participate in such a big program is considered an honor for them. The doctors at the arena were also surprised by the fitness of those boxers.

As for the “Suek Wan Ruam Palang” event at Rajjadumnern Lumphini on March 31, 2011, the 4 promoters – Chuchareon Raveearamwong, Mitr Nakorn Supet Suesadbongkoch, Sommai Sakulmetta and Kingtong Vinai Naksint – agreed that this program will be a charity campaign in which the income will be donated to the unfortunate people of Japan who were caught in the tsunami tragedy.

Informing the press to help support Japan

“There are many voices that ask for us to help support Japan after the tsunami. Recently, Lumphini Stadium donated some money and with this I hope that we would all follow suit and help Japan by making some donation. The other promoters and I agree that we should help Japan in this time of crisis because strong support and sympathy are what Japan needs from us now. This intention is not to force anyone to make a donation but it is a matter of generosity, which the boxing fans are all in possession of. So, for this program, it is a charity program to help with Japan’s tragic situation,” concluded Mr. Sanam.

Kiatpetch visits Sor Sommai Camp

At 2:30 pm. the staff and organizers of “Suek Ruam Palang” led by Sanamprai Panyarak along with PR Samphan Kaew Muangkan, Vichet Kamlangpol, and the doctor of Somdejprapinklao Hospital (who is also the permanent doctor at Rajjadumnern arena) as well as promoters Sommai Sakulmetta, Mitr Nakorn Sumet Suesatbongkoch, and Angmor Chuchareon Raveearamwong went to visit Sor Sommai Camp to see Seksun Or Kwanmuang, Lomtale, and Petchbaankaek Sor Baankaek who are going to participate in this program.

The fights will include Seksun versus Rungruanglek, Lomtale versus Kengkla Sor Chokkijchai, and Petchbaankaek versus Raktookkon Sor Soontorn. Raktookkon Sor Soontorn is the replacement for Kraipetch Sor Chokkijchai who could not participate in this program due to a tendon injury.
