 Chun gives credit to the 4 promoters
“For this event, it is not me who should gain all the credit. I want to confirm that everyone has participated and helped in this event—Angmor, Mitr Nakorn, Kingtong, and Sia Mai.
“As for Sia Mai Sakulmetta, he has given his all to select the best matched fighters, especially in Rajjadumnern. He has connected with every sector and every promoter in order for his work to be productive. Sia Mai also travelled far and wide and had several meetings to prepare for this event. For all his great efforts, he should be the one to receive the credit.
“As for now, if I can help in whatever way to improve the muaythai, I will always give my best and won’t hesitate to do what I can because I was born and grew up with muaythai. Also I am willing to work with everyone in the boxing world but only if it will help improve Muaythai. The 4 promoters all agree with this deal of improving Muaythai. We will do our best,” concluded promoter Chun.
Staff warn boxers to be physically fit
“All the boxers who came to be checked up today are in condition. They are fit and healthy. I would like to thank the head of the council and also want to give some advice to the boxers to take care of their health and be fit so that they can be ready for the fight because at this kind of big event, everyone wants to participate. There are not many days left and the weather is changing every now and then so I just want to remind them to take special care of their health.
“I also believe in the young boxers, that they are professional and disciplined enough to maintain their good work. They are ready to fight. And seeing who is taking care of them, the council is such quality.”
Rungpetch, Kraipetch, Lertpetch withdraw
Recently the organizers of the “Suek Wan Ruam Palang” program announced that there have been some changes to the fight card because some of the boxers are not ready. The changes are:
• Rungpetch Wor Rungniran who is going to fight Kaimookdum Chuwattana
• Lertpetch Sor Tor Monphontong who is going to fight Kaotaem Loukprabat
• Kraipetch Sor Chokkijchai who should fight Petchbaankaek Sor Baankaek
Also, Mitr Nakorn, Sia Mai and Angmor announced that because Lertpetch and Rungpetch withdrew, Kaotaem and Kaimookdum will be fighting each other instead because they are similar, equally matched and have not fought each other before too. As for Kraipetch who withdrew, Ruktookkon Sor Soontorn will replace him to fight Petchbaankaek instead. At the moment, the organizers are also looking for 1 more match to add to this program.
Fahmai ready to fight Kongsiam
“Last time I went to see Kongsiam fight. I have seen a lot of his fights. He is very strong with his left kick. He is considered a ‘normal’ fighter but even so he is strong and has very good technique so I must do my best. I am aiming to attack him with a lot of determination because he fights to a high standard. I will focus on my knee attack.
“And for those who asked me whether I am confident and ready to meet my opponent, yes I am confident in every match I fight. Now I have a good life, good staff who support and take care of me. I am glad I have the chance to work with Mr. Chun and will always appreciate his kindness. Other than teaching me boxing, he also taught me a lot about life outside boxing,” said Fahmai.
