Buakaw ready to go international in Thai Fight

 In addition to his roles as minister of Commerce, president of the Thailand Creative Economy Agency, and president of Creative Economy and Thailand's International Competitiveness, Alongkorn Pollabutr presided over the “Thai Fight 2011” press conference at the government house on March 31, 2011. Suwat Liptapanlop, the old president of the Organizing Committee and the sponsors were also in the press conference.
For this year’s Thai Fight 2011, it is now in its second year already and is one of the activities that the government has agreed to support as part of the celebrations for the King’s 84th birthday this year.
For this year, a Welterweight fight of 147 pounds (67 kilograms) has been arranged with the champion from 21st Izuzu Cup to be the representative of Thailand. In the Junior Middleweight category of 154 pounds (70 kilograms), Buakaw Por Pramuk, Thailand’s Muaythai superstar who is famous around the world in the K1 program, will lead the Thai team along with the other 4 boxers – Yodsanklai Fairtex, Saiyok Pumpanmuang, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee and Kem Sor.
The match timetable is as follows:
• The first round is on September 25, at Thammasat Convention Park from 14:30 - 17:00.
• The second round is on October 26, at Thammasat Convention Park from 13:55 - 15:55.
• The final round is on November 27, at Anandhasmakhom Palace from 18:00 – 20:00.
All matches will be broadcast live on Channel 3.
