Lud Fah Muaythai with Pong Lampang Volume.4

14.05.2011
Lud Fah Muaythai with Pong Lampang Volume.4The first news update is about the match result for Bovy Sor Udomson who fought in Lyon, France on 6 May (7 May at 5am in Thailand). The result, however, was disappointing because Bovy lost on points to Hichem Chaibi, the French boxer who replaced Liam Harrison for this match. Hichem Chaibi lost to Kiatadisak last year in Helsinki, Finland and also lost on points to Sammook Sasiprapa Gym in December last year.

Sia Menk Sor Udomson, who also traveled along with Bovy to fight in the same program, said that Bovy had big disadvantages because he arrived in France too close to the match day. By the time he reached France, he did not have much time to practice and get used to the environment. The weight check for both boxers was not at the same time either. Because of the difference in physique, it was not too surprising that Bovy lost.

For Thai Fight updates, this week on Tuesday morning, the staff will have a press conference at Channel 3 Building (Rama 4 Road) to talk about the plan. There will be many press representatives from radio, television, and newspapers at the press conference.

After that on Wednesday evening (around 11pm), the boxers and about 20 staff will travel to France by Air France, with the exception of Saiyok, Sia Kob Sasiprapa Gym, Sia Noom Top Kings and Pong Lampang who will go with Holland’s KLM airline. The reason why these people, including the son of Sia Jiang Sahamongkol Film, are going separately is because their visas were rejected. They will have to deal with their visas again on Tuesday morning and see whether they will be able to make it on time for the flight on Wednesday at midnight or not.

For those who like Muaythai competitions like International Muaythai or Muaythai World, make sure you are glued to your television on this Saturday May 14, from 11.15pm to 1.15am because Channel 3 is providing the live broadcast of the Cannes International Film Festival straight from France. There will be 8 exciting matches between the Thai team and the European team. For example Saiyok WindySport (Pumpanmuang) will be fighting against a boxer from Spain. The other matches include Yodsanklai Fairtex, Buakaw Por Pramook, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee, Petchasawin Seatrans Ferry, and last year’s Thai Fight champ, Fabio Pinca. Do not miss the first match of this big program - Thai Fight Extreme 2011. Let’s see whether this year’s first match will be even more exciting than last year or not.

This big program will be held in Paris. All the boxers will be staying in Paris for one night and after that will travel another 8 hours by car straight to Cannes, in the southern part of France to celebrate the Cannes International Film Festival.

There will be many superstars from Hollywood as well as from all around the world. And the most important thing that everyone should not miss is the Thai Fight boxing program which has cost 20 million baht to stage. Please show your support for the Thais who put all their efforts for Muaythai and for Thailand.

After Thai Fight (which ends on 21 May), there are 2 more boxing programs for the fans to see. The programs are on the same date but in different cities. First in Paris, Yesil Oskul will be fighting against Rungrawee Sasiprapa Gym once again. In this program, there will also be the last fight for France’s legend Danny Bill who is going to stop boxing permanently after this fight. After that in Champagne, Charles Francois will be fighting to defend his Welterweight Title (147 pounds) against Armin Black Dragon Gym, the new boxer of Muaythai Plaza 2004-Windy Sport Camp.

As for Rungrawee Sasiprapa Gym, the new fierce boxer from Sasiprapa Gym, his schedule is very tight, especially in Europe (England, Germany, Holland, France). If Rungrawee was able to increase his weight like Manny Pacquiao, Sia Kob would probably be a millionaire by now.

As for Petchaboon boy “Sommart Kummart”, the heir of Petcharoen Boxing Camp in Petchaboon province, he is continuing the business of running the boxing camp after his father, Somkit Kummart. Next year, the camp will be celebrating its 50 years anniversary. At the moment, Sommart is trying to organize boxing to go international. This 6 August, he will be sending Yodpetchake Petcharoen, the Muay Siam champ of the North (135 pounds), to fight in Perth, Australia against Toby Smith (scheduled for 67 kilograms).

Let’s see whether Sommart Kummart will be able to raise Yodpetchake to be a famous international star like Buakaw or Yodsanklai or not.
