Lud Fah Muaythai with Pong Lampang (May 16, 2011)

25.05.2011
Lud Fah Muaythai with Pong Lampang (May 16, 2011)Hello everyone! And welcome to your international Muaythai news updates. The first news will be about the results of Thai Fight Extreme on Saturday 14 May, 2011 in Cannes, featuring famous Muaythai stars such as Buakaw, Yodsanklai, Saiyok, Sudsakorn, Petchassawin and Fabio Pinca. Buakaw still maintained his quality and entertained the crowd very well, while Yodsanklai was able to show he still has the power. Saiyok, just like his nickname “Koon Sork Go Inter”, used his elbow work very well to win his match in a record 30 seconds. His elbow work always results in blood for the opponent. As for Sudsakorn, he was looking to make a name for himself, and Petchassawin also started strongly. For Fabio Pinca, he lost in his hometown, resulting in the rising of the new Samurai, Yuya Yamato, the champion of New Japan who is also a student of Saenchai Joker.

But what was unacceptable for the viewers in this Thai Fight Extreme program was the broadcast work from France. The fans were expecting the final match to be held in Korat but as it was chosen to be in Cannes instead, the fans hoped that the live broadcast would be of the highest quality with great camera work since the famous French channel CANAL+ was assigned to show the match. But, much to everyone’s disappointment, the broadcast work was handled by amateurs instead.

The opening shots of the boxers were terrible and the matches of Buakaw, Yodsanklai, and Saiyok were fought at the same time making the audiences scatter around between fights. This was due to the weak public relations of the team.

In the web boards such as Pantip.com and Muaymix, the fans continued to complain about the weak work of the production and broadcast staff. As for the crews for Thai Fight, they were expected to be back in Bangkok last Monday. We might have to just follow the Thai Fight Extreme 2011 in Hong Kong on 17 July to see whether it is any better and find out if all the errors have been solved or not.

As for the other match results of different programs in France, Ja Keow Pakchong brought Apisit KT Gym to fight against his old opponent Xeiver Bastard in a mad match that resulted in the blood of his opponent being spilt. For Ja Keow and Apisit, they will be returning to Bangkok on 18 July because at the moment they are in Paris.

As for this week on 21 May, there will be 2 boxing programs. The first one is in Champagne, France. Armin Black Dragon Swiss will be challenging for the Welter Wight title (147 pounds) against Charles Fracois. For this program, Madam Voice, Nutsiri, will fly in to support Armin. Also Thongchai Malulim, or Alibaba the Muslim news reporter of Muay Siam, will also travel there to give support to Armin and keep us updated on the program. The expected departure date is 10 pm on 18 May. As for the other program, Si Oui Sor Sunanchai from Chingmai will be replacing Rungrawee Sasiprapa Gym to fight against Yestin Oskul in Paris. Si Oui must be careful because Yestin has beaten Kantipong before and fought with Saenchai Chinbi. He has also lost to Rungrawee Sasiprapa Gym and came to Thailand to fight against Tapaothong Eminent Air at the end of last year.

For Saiyok Windy Sport (Pumpanmuang), since he returned from France, he has been practicing hard because at the end of the month on 31 May he will be fighting against Andre Culbil in Hong Kong.

Madam Voice Windy Sport as well as his trainer will also accompany Saiyok to Hong Kong for this program. The young promoter, Bryan To HangLam, the Muaythai superstar who arranged this program, said that the 30,000 Baht VIP tickets were sold out already because the Hong Kong fans were excited to see Saiyok versus Andre. They are very famous and well-known in Hong Kong. The entourage will be traveling to Hong Kong on 29 May 2011.

As for the Thailand VS Challenger Series organised by promoter Toli Makris, the date of the Grand Opening this year is on 23 July at River City,l Bangkok. The boxing matches include Samranchai 96 Penang versus Antoine Siang Boxing, Bovy Sor Udomson versus Jabra Arkirov, and Lumsongkram Chuwattana’s comeback to fight against Cyrus Washington. As for Nonsai Sor Sanyakorn and Ole Or Piripinyo, the team is still looking for opponents for them.

The fans should not miss this program because there will be 8 VIP matches along with the beautiful view of the Chao Phraya River at night. For this program, the tickets are being sold only to VIP guests limited to 400 seats only. For anyone who is interested in seeing VIP boxing matches in Thailand, you can join the program at River City.

Petchyindee promotion also announced that they will be going to Hat Yai, Songkla for the press conference of the Toyota Marathon program on 16 June 2011. The schedule of the real fight is on 1 July and now they are still looking for the boxers to fight in this program because recently Saiyok has resigned from the program. As for the foreign boxers, the staff guaranteed that there will be good grade boxers to fight in this competition for sure. The champions from each arena will be fighting each other in the final in October for the prize valued at 2 million baht (1 million baht cash and a Toyota car).

There has been no update about The Contender Asia in Malaysia for quite a while, but recently, the schedule has been assigned and the program will begin around July. For anyone who likes Muaythai, you should follow this reality series closely. As for the prize, the champion will receive the prize of about 3 million baht. The assigned weight is still 72 kilograms as usual.
