Boxers search to fight in World Championship

 The Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand is offering the opportunity for mature boxers who are heavy in weight or female boxers who have good technique to participate in an audition to be the representative of Thailand in the World Muaythai Championship competition in Uzbekistan this September.
Muay Siam Daily’s news reporter was told by Ajarn Chuchat Luangpon, a former famous Muaythai boxer, that the amateur boxing association has been discussing the long term plan to select an experienced boxer to participate in the World Amateur Muaythai Championship, which will take place in Uzbekistan this September. The association will arrange 9 weight categories for male boxers and 5 categories for female fighters for this competition.
The association is still accepting enrollments from any interested boxer, including past boxers and the female boxers. The age limit is from 17 to 30 years old.
“The association is opening up a chance for everyone to promote themselves. For this World Muaythai Championship this year, we will send 9 male boxers. But if there is any boxer who weighs more than 80 kilograms but still wants to join, we will still consider the application, or the boxer can contact the Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand at Huamark from Monday to Friday during working hours. The same goes to the female boxers. If they think they have great technique, we are offering them this opportunity to enroll,” said Ajarn Chuchat.
