Thai team from Isuzu wins all matches in Cannes’s Thai Fight Extreme, now prepares for the upcoming fights in Hong Kong and JapanThe Isuzu Thai boxer team won all their fights in the “Thai Fight Extreme” program in Cannes, France. Moreover, Isuzu is inviting Thai people to cheer for the Thai boxers in the “Muaythailand Brand” program on Sunday 17 July, 2011 in Hong Kong and 7 August 2011 in Japan. Channel 3 will provide the live broadcast.

Suwat Liptapallop, the ex minister and president of competition production said that “The Thai Fight Extreme program was considered a successful part of the Thai Fight program. Last year, it was widely accepted throughout the world because the Thai Fight program is a competition that holds the full concept of Muaythai art and that’s why we received many calls from abroad to arrange the program overseas. As for the Thai Fight in Cannes, France, every member of the Thai team was able to beat the European fighters with their superior technique. There was also an atmosphere of Sport Entertainment with elegant lighting effects and a good sound system. The foreign fans were very interested in this program.”

Panadda Jennavasin, the vice managing director of Tri Petch Isuzu Sales Company (TIS), which is also the main sponsor, said that “The Thai Fight Extreme competition was one of the programs in the Thai Fight project “creative business 2011” that Isuzu was honored to be the main sponsor of. It also follows the project “Love the nation, preserve Muaythai boxing” that Isuzu has supported consistently because we believe that Muaythai is the nation’s unique martial art which is known all around the world. It is a treasure and a cultural heritage that lives in the blood of every Thai. Thai people should be proud that many foreigners are interested to learn and practice Muaythai. It is very impressive that the Thai Fight Extreme program was able to present Muaythai to western eyes. Moreover, we are very happy and proud that the champion of the 21st Isuzu Cup will be Thailand’s representative to fight in the Thai Fight 2011 program that will start in September”.

For the atmosphere of “Thai Fight Extreme” in Cannes, the Thai team included Buakaw Por Pramuk and 4 other boxers—Yodsanklai Fairtex, Saiyok Pumpanmuang, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee and Petch Assawin Sea Trans Ferry along with 3 Japanese boxers who fought against 8 European boxers with their punches, feet, knees and elbows. From the first match to the last match, the crowd was kept entertained by good, competitive boxing. The Thai team won on points by 6 to 2 to take the overall championship and bring the title back to Thailand.

The next Thai Fight Extreme from overseas that will be broadcast on Channel 3 for the Thai fans to see will be as follows:
-    Sunday 17 July, 2011 – live broadcast from Asia World-Arena in Hong Kong from 3pm to 5pm (Thai time)
-    Sunday 7 August, 2011 – live broadcast from Ariake Colosseum in Odaiba, Japan from 3pm to 5pm (Thai time)

Furthermore, Isuzu is continuing its role as the main sponsor for the “Thai Fight” program in 2011 after the big success of last year when each event attracted a large crowdr. The program includes the competition of Muaythai on an international level which consists of famous foreign Muaythai boxers from 16 countries. For Thailand, the representative to join the Thai Fight program will be the winner of the 21st Isuzu Cup. The final will take place on Saturday 11 June, 2011 between Kem Sitsongpeenong and Nopparat Kiatkumtorn.

Help support the Thai boxers in the Thai Fight 2011 program. The first fight will be on Sunday 25 September 2011 at Thammasat Rangsit’s auditorium. The live broadcast is provided by Channel 3 from 2:30pm to 5pm (local time).
