“Big Song” jolts boxing industry, proposes himself to Lumpini

 Songchai ‘Big Song’ Ratanasuban, the famous promoter from Suek Wan Songchai of Rajadamnern Stadium shocked the boxing industry when he submitted an application to Major General Surakrai Jatumas, the owner of Lumpini Stadium, to promote events at Lumpini by saying that he still has many things to do in this boxing industry. As for Colonel Wasan Peungsumpao, the secretary of Lumpini Stadium, he confirmed that Songchai really did send an application but the Lumpini board has not decided on anything yet because they must also maintain a good relationship with Rajadamdern Stadium, too. To take a promoter from Rajadamnern to Lumpini would be considered very impolite.
The recent shocking news for the Muaythai industry is that Songchai ‘Big Song’ Ratanasuban, the famous promoter from Rajadamnern, made a big and shocking decision to send a proposal to join Lumpini to Major General Surakrai Jatumas, the owner of Lumpini Stadium, mentioning that he had arranged big programs for military and police charities in Lumpini Stadium before and now he wants to improve the Muaythai industry even more by doing things that he has not worked on yet. He hopes that Major General Surakrai will take his proposal into serious consideration.
For this issue, Colonel Wasan Peungsumpao, the secretary of Lumpini Stadium confirmed that this rumor is true because Songchai really sent the document at the end of April to General Surakrai Jatumas, the owner of Lumpini Stadium. But for now, the Lumpini board has not made any further decision because they do not want to ruin the relationship between Rajadamnern and Lumpini by taking the other side’s employee which is considered a breach of etiquette. For now, there is no consideration in progress for this issue.
He also added that even if Songchai resigns from Rajadamnern, the consideration to accept Songchai as one of the promoters of Lumpini is not yet certain because it also depends on several factors. For example, Lumpini does not have many programs at the moment, so to have many promoters is not really a requirement. But for now, he confirmed that nothing is happening just now about the issue because for the most part, Lumpini is concerned about the close relationship between Rajadamnern and Lumpini.
