Two stadiums arrange Muaythai for charity to help Siriraj HospitalA Muaythai charity program was held on Thursday 7 July, 2011 at Rajadamnern Stadium. Jointly arranged by Teerawat Kulthanan, dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Jakthip Chaijinda, Commander-in-chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, Aumnuay Nimmano, Vice commander-in-chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, Vichai Sangkaprapai, Commander-in-chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau 1, Prai Panyaluck, owner of Rajadamnern Stadium, Chalermpong Cheowsakul, President of Rajadamnern Stadium, and Suraklai Jattumas, owner of Lumphini Stadium, the project was actually in dedication of the 84th year anniversary for the King under the name “Muaythai for Charity Suek Wan Mitrchai”.

As well as celebrating the 84th year anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the event also aimed to increase the potential of medical institutes in Thailand to meet international standards in many sectors such as education, research and management. The revenue generated at this charity event will be given to Sayamindradhiraj Medical Institute to purchase new medical equipment.

The main fight in the event can be considered one of the biggest matches of the past few years because Sea Nao Petchyindee, Chun Kiatpetch and Boo Muangpetch picked 2 famous boxers from Thailand’s two main stadiums to meet each other at Rajadamnern Stadium.

At the time of writing, the first pair will be Nong Oh Kaiyang Hadao Gym and F16 Rachanon (131-133 pounds) competing for 600,000 Baht prize money. Other sub matches include Nong Beer Chokngamwong versus Kao Taem Look Prabaht (119 pounds. Petchmorakot Wor Sangprapai will fight Khunsak PN Gym (109 pounds). Rungpetch Wor Sangprapai will fight Chatchainoi Sor Prasopchok (121 pounds). SarmA Tor Rattanakiat will be fighting Tingthong Chor Kowyoohah Isuzu (121-123 pounds). Singhdum Kiatmoo 9 will fight Sittisak Petchpayathai (131 pounds). And Sakeddao Petchpayathai will fight Petchboonchoo KA Group (131 pounds).

For the main match, the best Muaythai fighters of the generation will be fighting one another. Saenchai Sinbi Muaythai, the best Muaythai boxer of 2002, will be fighting Kongsak Sid Boonmee, the best Muaythai boxer of 2010. The weight is set for 128 pounds. This match is considered to be one of the most eagerly anticipated by the fans for a long time. After this main match, there will be 2 more matches --Somraknoi Pornnangrong will fight Yod Chanyuth Por Thongburan, and Petch Ek Wor Sarapadchang will fight Petch Sila Sor Thamrangsee.

The winner of the main match will receive a trophy awarded by H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. As for the most furious fight, the pair will receive a trophy from Jakthip Chaijinda, the Commander-in-chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau and the pair will also get to join the “10 Sien (masters) Muaythai Comment” competition and compete for 500,000 Baht prize as well as a winning trophy organized by Vichai Sangprapai, the Commander-in-chief of Metropolitan Police Bureau 1.
