Lud Fah Muaythai with Pong Lampang 4-07-2011

14.07.2011
Lud Fah Muaythai with Pong Lampang 4-07-2011Greetings to everyone! I’m back with many Muaythai updates. But first of all, the election has already passed and we hope that the new government will work honestly and be able to push Thailand forward after the 5 years of non-movement. Let’s hope that the winning party will act according to what it promised and solve the conflicts and crises by uniting the Thai nation to be one just as we used to be in the past.

For the first news update on muaythai abroad, we have the list of matches for the Thai Fight Extreme 2011 program in Hong Kong on this upcoming 17 July, 2011. We now have 8 confirmed matches: Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee versus Egon Legacy Gym from Slovakia (67 kg); Yodsanklai Fairtex versus Karim Gaji from Morocco (73 kg); Wang Wei from China versus Fabio Pinca from France (67 kg); Buakaw Por Pramuk versus Grillma China from Argentina (70 kg); Wei Park Heng from Hong Kong versus Murat Zaradri from Argentina (70 kg); Yoshi Yamasaki from Japan versus Ibrahim Shaiahu from Morocco (70 kg); Toshio Matsumoto versus James Cuami from Ivory Coast; and lastly Ekapol Nui Coffee Boran versus Leonard Kanka from Kenya.

Saiyok Windysport (Pumpanmuang) and Petch Assawin Sea Trans Ferry will not be joining this program, however. Elite Boxing Promotion has arranged for Saiyok to fight in another program. He will be fighting his old rival, Bruce Macfie from Australia (72 kg), at the Thailand Vs Challenger Grand Opening on 23 July, 2011 at River City Hall.

If Saiyok is able to knock out his rival, Australian promoter Ian Robson will put up the 40,000 AUSD performance fee for Saiyok to fight against John Wayne Parr, the Muaythai legend, in Brisbane, Australia on 12 November, 2011 as the main fight of the Thailand Vs Australia 2011 program. This event will be broadcast all over Australia, too.

As for this fight, it is considered that Saiyok will become the go-inter Thai boxer with the highest performing fee ever—1,319,600 Thai Baht—which is considered the highest price in Muaythai-rule-based competition.

Promoter Ian Robson will also travel to see Saiyok’s fight in Thailand and there will be an official contract agreement once again. For the confirmation of the fight between Saiyok and John Wayne Parr, we would first have to see whether Saiyok will be able to win a great victory over his rival, Bruce Macfie, on 23 July or not.

As for the other matches in the Thailand Vs Challenger (2011) Grand Opening program, apart from Saiyok’s fight, Kaoklai Kaennorsing will be fighting Sirus Washington from America; Sanchainoi Pumpanmuang will fight Antoine Siang Boxing from France; Bovy Sor Udomson will be fighting “The Number 1” from Top Kings Boxing; Nonsai Sor Sanyakorn will meet a Chinese boxer; and lastly Sue Lock Kao Kor Klaiwirat will fight Valdez Gashi from Germany. For fans who love to see top quality international Muaythai, you better not miss this program!

In other news, even though P’Toi Denmark did not get to meet up with his friends much for anything apart for business during this visit, he has been aiming for two boxers to fight in a Thailand Vs Scandinavia program next February in Copenhagen, Denmark. As for the fights in this program, Saenchai Sinbi Muaythai along with Saiyok will be fighting 2 on 1 against “the Viking boxer!” As for the name of this Danish opponent, we will have to wait for the confirmation this October or November.

Meanwhile, Sakmongkol Sid Chuchok seems to have been out of the scene for so long that some people even thought he had quit boxing. However, it was recently announced that he will be fighting against Alexander Cosmo from Brazil in Las Vegas on this upcoming 20 August, 2011.

Finally, the Toyota Marathon ended last Friday. For this month, there will be “67 kg Muaythai tournament” program at Rangsit International Muaythai Arena in Pathumthani on Sunday 24 July, 2011. For this program, there will be a live broadcast and the prize is worth 100,000 Baht. Both Thai and foreigner boxers will be joining this tournament with a one-day knock-out rule. You can follow the live broadcast of the 67 kg Muaythai tournament, provided by the WMC on Channel TGN from 20:20-22:20. The tournament will start with its first match on 10 July, 2011.
