Lud Fah Muaythai with Pong Lampang (19 July, 2011)

02.08.2011
Lud Fah Muaythai with Pong Lampang (19 July, 2011)Hi everyone! I’m here once again after a long holiday. Well, during the 4-day break I had a chance to travel with the other 60 Thai Fight Extreme staff to Hong Kong. We were able to have some free time which was quite relaxing and at the same time, continuing our work for this program as well.

Last weekend, there were a few programs that were broadcasted from abroad such as from USA on channel TGN and from Hong Kong on channel 3. And in both programs, the Thai boxers were able to bring secure victories.

As for Plush Kick team, they will arrange another Muaythai program in California on 6 November, 2011 while the Thai Fight was very quick and will arrange Thai Fight programs in 2 locations. Starting from 7 August, the first program will be taking place at Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan. The fight card of Thai and Japanese fighters has already been set. Buakaw Por Pramuk will be fighting against Tomoaki Makino (70 kg). Yodsanklai Fairtex will fight Yasuhiro Shirasu (72.5 kg). Saiyok Pumpanmuang will fight Kosumon Kiat Thana Ubon, the Japanese-North Korean boxer (70 kg). Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee will fight Tomoyuki (67 kg). Fabio Pinca will fight against Yuya Yamamoto once again after the last time that he was defeated by Yamamoto. And lastly, Yuichi Yamasaki will fight against an Algerian boxer.

After that on the 13th, Thai Fight will then move to Europe where it will be held in Leicester, England. There will be Kem Sid Song Peenong, the recent Isuzu champ and 3 other muaythai boxers who will join this program before the new season of the English Premier League starts. Hopefully by next week, we will have the confirmed list of boxers who will join this program in England.

Going back to the Hong Kong trip that I joined, I met many influential people from the muaythai industry such as Sea Mee Ormnorm Teerayuth Horprasertkij, Sea Noom Top Kings Boxing, Sea Kob Thakoon Pongsupa, P’Oh Saengmorakot and Ja Tui Saengmorakot. I gained a lot of experience and saw another perspective from those people. For example, Sea Mee and Sea Noom are millionaires but they live an easy lifestyle. The four people slept in one hotel room at the Conrad Hotel in Hong Kong and, as for me, I stayed at a hotel around the Wan Zai area. During my stay, I was quite lucky because there were many former boxers who live in Hong Kong keeping me company such as Sarm Kor Kiatmonthep, Saensananchai Kiatprasanchai, Santichai Or Boonchuay, Yordkumarn Muaythai Plaza 2004, Rattanadech Kiatkumpon and Chokdee Sid Sor Jor Sane.

Many people have been asking about the concept of this year’s Thai Fight program: Will the Thai Fight program hold the same concept or not? Let me answer this on behalf of the staff. Yes, the program will still hold the same concept as of previous ones but for this year, the Muaythai superstars from Thailand will also be selected to travel around to fight with other superstars across the world. The program will be broadcasted like it was in Cannes, France so that fans in Thailand will not miss this important program.

As for next month, there will be two programs in Japan and England. After the big programs, there will be a tournament in Thailand in which Kem Sid Song Peenong and Buakaw Por Pramuk are the representatives of Thailand. The assigned schedule is on 24 September, 2011 in Thailand while the second round will be in October. For the final round, it will be on 26 November, 2011. Time flies very fast and by the end of this year, muaythai superstars and staff will be flying to Las Vegas for the last program of year 2011. Every fight, every program, will be broadcast on channel 3.

This Hong Kong trip also allowed me to meet Bryan Hang Lam, the promoter who arranged Fight Factory which Saiyok and Sarm Kor took part in last May. He said that he was still overwhelmed by the great feedback from muaythai fans and he is planning to arrange another program at the end of this December. This time the location will be at the Venetian Casino in Macau instead of in Hong Kong. The boxers that he wants to use include Saiyok and Sarm Kor like the previous time.

Now returning back to Thailand, the big program this week is the Thailand Vs Challenger program on Saturday 23 July, 2011. The press conference for this event has already been held at Gaysorn Plaza. The main fight in the event is Saiyok Pumpanmuang against Bruce Macfie (72 kg), the Australian boxer who lost to Saiyok 2 years ago in Hong Kong.

The other fights include Kaoklai Kaennorsing versus Cyrus Washington (76 kg), and Saenchainoi Pumpanmuang will fight Antoine Siangboxing (70 kg). Also, Nopparat Kiatkumtorn will be fighting Bovy Sor Udomson (69 kg), and Armin Black Dragon Swiss will fight Hong Kang from China (72 kg). Finally, Sue Lock Kao Kor Klaiwilat will fight Valdez Gashi from Germany (67 kg).

After the fight, there will be a small sight-seeing boat trip on the Chao Phraya River at midnight. For this program, unfortunately, there will not be any live broadcast but only the tape that will be aired later on several channels such as EuroSport, ESPN, Fox Sport and Al Jazeera TV.
