Ikkyusang defeats Sittichai to win Suek Jao Muaythai titleIkkyusang Kor Rungthanakiat won the double titles of Ormnorm Champion and the Fook Tien Group fourth Champion by defeating Sittichai Sid Song Peenong. Ikkyusang used right kicks and knee stabs to prevent Sittichai from being able to continue the fight due to a right shoulder injury. As a result, Ikkyusang won the fight by TKO in the middle of the last round. He received both the champion belt and 300,000 Bath cash prize in this main fight of the Suek Jao Muaythai program on 23 July, 2011 at Ormnorm arena.

In the Suek Jao Muaythai program at Ormnorm arena on Saturday 23 July, 2011, the main fight was between Ikkyusang Kor Rungthanakiat and Sittichai Sid Song Peenong (145 pounds). This fight was the final match of the Fook Tien Group’s fourth program and also a title fight for Ormnorm Arena’s vacant Welterweight title that Sittichai had won once previously on points. The referee was Tawatchai Thongrid. The rate was on Sittichai 7 to 4 and the first round ended with Sittichai still leading 7 to 4.

In the second round, Ikkyusang picked up his pace and sent left kicks and knee attacks at Sittichai who sent left kicks in return without really troubling his opponent. Near the end of the round, Sittichai lost his balance. By this time, the price was going down and the second round ended with a draw on Sittichai.

In the third round, Sittichai tried to pick up the pace of the fight with quick movement but a kick from Ikkyusang stopped him. Sittichai still tried his best but his attacks were not really on target and Ikkyusang was able to block him and return an even stronger attack back to Sittichai. The third round ended with Ikkyusang now leading 2 to 1.

In the fourth round, Ikkyusang targeted his attacks and stabbed his knee into Sittichai which caused Sittichai to lose his pace and prevented him from launching a counter attack. Ikkyusang was now dominating. Near the end of the round he sent right kicks then again stabbed his knee continuously into his opponent. The price was on Ikkyusang and the fourth round ended with Ikkyusang leading 40 to 1.

For the last round, Sittichai threw punches at Ikkyusang but it didn’t help much because Ikkyusang sent sharp right kicks back at Sittichai’s shoulder until it was so badly injured that he could not continue the fight. The referee called for the nurse to check it and decided to end the match. Ikkyusang won the match by TKO, gaining his revenge and receiving 2 champion titles along with 300,000 Baht cash prize money. As for Sittichai, he will receive 250,000 cash prize as runner up.

For other match results, Samranchai 96 Penang used elbow attacks to win on points against Saksurin Kiatyongyuth and take third place of the Fook Tien Group, receiving 150,000 Baht cash prize money for his efforts. As for Saksurin, he will receive a 100,000 Baht cash price. Tewarid Sid Song Peenong won on points against Nuengtrakarn Pele Lumduan. Daoangkarn Mu Ko Phetra National Park won on points against Kaosod Rod Baan Somkiat Trang. Johnny Dang Por Chokchaiwat won on points against Magnum Nongkee Pahuyuth. Malaithong Kiatpathum lost by knock out to Santhanong Tor Silachai in the first round.
