30.08.2011
Nopparat defeats Moses in Suek Jao MuaythaiThe chest-stab master, Nopparat Kiatkumtorn, used his superior skills and arsenal of right kicks and knee jabs to defeat Moses Tor Saengtiannoi in the main fight of Suek Jao Muaythai at Ormnorm arena on Saturday 20 August.

In Suek Jao Muaythai at Ormnorm arena on Saturday 20 August, the main fight was between Nopparat Kiatkumtorn and Moses Sor Saengtiannoi under an equal weight rule (156 pounds) and the rate was equal for both boxers. It was the second fight between the two fighters. For the record, Moses once lost on points to Nopparat. The referee for this fight was Mr. Ouyporn Kiewkung.

The first round ended with with the two fighters still equal. In the second round, Moses tried to find an opportunity to launch a left kick attack while Nopparat focused mainly on the right side. The two boxers exchanged tentative attacks but there was not much going on, causing the referee to signal for a faster fight. Near the end of the round, Nopparat squeezed himself in to a clinch and landed a few draining knee attacks and then followed up with a flurry of right kicks. The second round ended with Nopparat now leading narrowly by 5 to 4, much to the disappointment of some fans who felt the rate should be higher than this.

In the third round, both Nopparat and Moses maintained a slow fight which earned them a warning from the referee again. Moses then sent a left kick and followed up with a knee jab. Nopparat was quite slow and could not return the attack right away so Moses seized the opportunity and continued his attack. In the middle of the round, Nopparat was finally able to make some moves and landed a powerful knee stab into his opponent. However, the referee then called another warning, insisting that the two boxers should focus more on punches. Some fans and boxing experts started to complain about the referee’s warnings since they came too often and disrupted the flow of the fight. After that, Nopparat started to launch more attacks near the end of the round. The rate then progressed much more smoothly and now Nopparat was leading 8 to 1.

In the fourth round, Moses opened up and launched knee attacks and that allowed Nopparat to find his target. He grabbed Moses’ neck and sent knee jabs into Moses. Nopparat was showing his superiority over Moses now and was the one to control the fight. Moses could not do anything but absorb more attacks. The fourth round finished without any rate.

In the last round, the electricity went out for 2 minutes, forcing the referee to call for a short break. After the power returned, the fight was quite subdued and finally the round came to an end with Nopparat having done enough to win on points, and secure another victory over Moses. The final score was 50-47 under the consideration of 3 referees, Prapai Pratet, Prasit Kaewthong and 49-47 by Tawatchai Thongrit.

For the other match results, Si Manood Sor Sarinya used his fast movement to his advantage and used his good knee work to win on points against Laemthong Tor Pornchaisanook. Nuengtrakarn Pele Lumduan won on points against Petchmai Louk Boonmee. Dao Angkarn Koh Petra National Park lost on points to Chalermsap Kor Romsrithong.
