Vladimir Burdun, President of Dubai Martial Arts Academy announced that the UAE National Team that was established as a team of muaythai amateurs is planned to be recovered this year.
“I think it’s the best time to emphasize once again on the importance of a healthy nation in the UAE. As muaythai gives outstanding opportunities to everyone to be on the healthy side of life, the return of the UAE National Team will be vital. That will be great step in proving that people in the UAE are health-concerned as well as in opening great options for amateurs to show their skills and learn more while defending the pride of the country they live in. We can’t miss the fact that there was a problem of creating the National Team few years ago as local fighters (UAE nationals) were the minority. However, things have changed now and lots of UAE nationals join muaythai community which is indeed a good sign”, he explained.
