The Balkan Muaythai Federation in cooperation The Turkish Muaythai Federation successfully held the 2nd Open Balkan Muaythai Championship for Kids from the 2nd to 4th December 2011 in Istanbul Turkey.

Participants to the event included young athletes from Turkey, Greece, England, Netherlands, Lebanon and Azerbaijan.

The event which gave the sport’s future stars the chance to gain experience in the ring under tournament pressure also gave them a chance to shine during the beautiful Wai-Kru competition.

IFMA Executive Member, Balkan and Turkish Muaythai Federation President Halil Durna, said in his speech to the general assembly of the BMF, that it is important that we be the architect of our future, our children, whom will contribute to the development of the basic goals of the championship in the future of the IFMA World championship events around the world.
