 Another sold out electrifying Legendary Muaythai Fight Night by Dragon Power Promotions. The fights were fast and action packed, with 7 UMF Muaythai Fights on the bill, with 5 provinces entering the SA Muaythai Championships. The World No.1 Ubuntu BBoys a jaw dropping performance followed by Sifu Kru Quentin ‘Dragon’ Chong giving a short thank you speech for all that attended the event and helped make the night the success that it was. The main event was the SA Muaythai Light Middleweight championship fight between Jarred ‘Rothweiler’ Rothwell & Ceeh ‘Croco Croco’ Khuboni.
The event was opened and MC’ed by Tapfuma ‘Twinkle Toes’ Makina at 7:00pm.
In between the ever entertaining bouts, the main event intro videos were displayed to build anticipation, as well as continuing with the ‘Inside Quentin Chong’ series on Zoopy two new videos were displayed, ‘Returning to the Ring’ & ‘Giving Back to the Community’. Fight 1: Cadet Muaythai – Monwabisi Qampa (Gugulethu, MAD Program) defeated Juan-Luc Adendorff (George) by a unanimous points decision.
Fight 2: Senior Muaythai Featherweight – Thabo Matsau (Cape Town) defeated Mtha Gazu (Durban) by TKO in the 3rd Round.
Fight 3: Senior SA Muaythai Final Light Welterweight – Eugeen van der Merwe (Gauteng) defeated Siyabula Fitoli (Eastern Cape) by disqualification in the 3rd round.
Fight 4: Senior SA Muaythai Final Welterweight – Finian Naidoo (Eastern Cape) defeated Xolani Mchunu (Kwa-Zulu Natal) by Unanimous point decision.
Fight 5: Senior SA Muaythai Final Middleweight – Akhona Mnqibisa (Western Province) defeated Yazeed Mohammed (Eastern Cape) by Unanimous point decision.
