The future of muaythai in Malaysia looks bright as the Malaysian team had an outstanding competition winning 6 gold medals in the juniors and 2 gold medals in the kids wai khru competition.
Dato Shahnaz Azmi stated “In the last two years the junior development there has been great hype in Malaysia in the lead up to the World Championships and the Malaysian gold quest really took off. The 2014 World Championships has left a legacy behind and we will continue to build on this and keep up the momentum to ensure muaythai in Malaysia continues to thrive”.
