Valentina Shevchenko came in second in the recent voting for the IWGA Athlete of the Year 2014. With Muaythai being a new member in the World Games, this is a great achievement and recognition for the sport.

It was a great honour for Valentina to be nominated as athlete of the year and coming in second is a great success for her and shows the popularity of the sport and cultural art of Muaythai.

Well done Valentina for being a great ambassador for the sport, and World Games, here we come!
