Phoenix was chosen to be the host city for the 2015 Final of the United States Muaythai Open Championship to unearth athletes that will represent America at the upcoming Royal World Cup in Bangkok, Thailand.

America’s premier Muaythai promoter, Siam Fight Productions has been charged with the responsibility to organize the U.S. Muaythai Open Championship, which has been hailed as an outstanding event by the athletes, the officials and the spectators. Siam Fight Productions sees it as one of their responsibilities to promote Muaythai to the highest recognition especially in the youth development.

Siam Fight Productions, in a letter to IFMA stated, “We understand the importance of IFMA and how no other organization is capable of progressing Muaythai into the 21st century, while preserving its most sacred traditions.  Siam credits IFMA’s leadership for realizing the vast potential of the sport and by displaying it in the best light possible.”

Team USA is ready and USMF President and IFMA Executive board member, Ms Cheryl Garcia says that it an honor for America to compete at the Royal World Cup which is also the first official qualifier for the 2017 World Games, and that America will work hard to make sure that they are represented both at 2017 World Games, and the World Combat games to be part of Olympic recognized multi-sport games.
