Over 2000 fighters from all regions of Iran took part in the qualifying events to determine the final athletes for the IFMA Royal World Cup. Iranian Muaythai President, Mr Hamdollah Ebadati stated that many events are coming up, but regardless of this, the IFMA Royal World Cup 2015 is the first qualifier for the 2017 World Games, the Asian Beach Games in Vietnam, under the OCA flag and Indoor Asian Martial Art Games also under the OCA flag and it is important that the Iranian athletes will show strong presence in these games.

Iranian Muaythai is fully recognized by the National Olympic Committee and Sports Ministry. Over 200,000 practitioners in Iran will continue to promote Muaythai as a way of life.
