The sport of muaythai will be in the upcoming Asian Indoor Games. The Games are a multi-sport event established from the Asian Games by the OCA. The first games were held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2005 and athletes from all over the Asian continent competed. These Games were developed to give the opportunity to compete in sports that are not recognised as an Olympic sport or included in the Asian and Winter Games. The competitions are heavily broadcasted. The 3rd Asian Indoor Games (AIG) will be held for the first time in Vietnam in the fall of 2009 (30 Oct - 8 Nov). 45 Nations 15 Sports 27 Disciplines
