Following last year's success, when the first Ionian Muaythai Tournament was organized in the beautiful island of Corfu, this year the municipality of Esperides, the Hellenic Muaythai Federation and the head muaythai club of Corfu "Thersilohos" are organising the "BATTLE OF THE TITANS".

The Ionian Muaythai Tournament 2009 - "Hellas vs England" will take place on the 13th September 2009, starting at 20.00, in a club located on the sea shore. Members of the Hellenic National Team will face off in the ring with famous British fighters.

The fight card will consist of 4 male fights, one female fight and one junior fight. All the fights will be according to IFMA's rules, 4 x 2' rounds each. 

The island of Corfu is bustling with hoards of British tourists, especially in September, so it is a great chance to show the spectators so good 'ol muaythai!

Also, all the spectators will have the opportunity to see traditional Greek dances as a part of the program fo the event. It's sure to be a night full of culture and excitement.
