Grandmaster Sken takes Muaythai promotion in the UK to new levels with the Muaythai Premier League at the Reebok De Vere Whites Hotel, Bolton on November 7th, 2009. This show will be broadcast by Sky and sanctioned by the world governing body for the sport, the World Muay Thai Council, the world amateur body IFMA  and the United Kingdom Muaythai Federation (UKMTF).

This will be one of the biggest  show ever staged  in England and features top class World Championship clashes including the Thai legend  Saenchai Sor Kingstar (Thailand) versus Rob Storey (England); Rungravee Sasiprapa (Thailand) versus Andy Howson (England), and Sakeddao (Thailand) versus Liam “The Hit man” Harrison (England).

The show will also mark the official launch of MSA (Master Sken Academy) which is dedicated to making Muaythai a mainstream global media sport. MSA shows will feature the very best Muaythai champions from Thailand as well as from around the globe.

Grandmaster Sken has teamed up with Dr. Swee Lip Quek, to create an organization that will truly stand out as an ambassador for the sport of Muaythai – and turbo charge the profile and essential culture of Thai martial arts within the world of entertainment and media.

The timing for this venture is a key to its success. Grandmaster Sken notes that various factors have raised the profile of Muaythai worldwide. The global success of the film ‘Ong Bak’  and the success story of Contender Asia which were both  massive hits around the world.

Grandmaster Sken believes that now is the time to take Muaythai to a next level and having the WMC as a firm partner makes it a possibility.

Super Prestige Bout Saenchai Sor. Kingstar (Thailand) V Rob Storey (England) Saenchai is a great Thai champion and was recently voted Thailand’s Sport Personality of 2009. In 2008, he won no fewer than 5 ‘Boxer of the Year’ awards from top journalistic organizations and newspapers. Saenchai defeated Liam” The Hit man” Harrison earlier in 2009 and also Australian superstar Kurt Finalyson. He has all round excellent techniques of Muaythai and Muay Boran and is a living legend.

Rob Storey, from Keddles Gym, defeated Rung from Thailand in April this year. Storey is a very tough fighter from an excellent trainer - Alan Keddle. This will be a remarkable fight and people will travel from over the country – and from Europe - to watch this. All respect to Rob as he is taking on the world’s best in his division

Super Prestige Bout Rungravee Sasiprapa (Thailand) V Andy Howson (England) Rungravee is recognized by influential (Thai) Television Stadium Channel 5 and Channel 7 as one of Thailand’s top boxers. He is an exciting fighter who hails from the Sasiprapa gym, voted by the Thai media as the ‘Best Muay Thai gym 2008.’ His opponent, Andy Howson is exceptionally tough, a world champion – and certainly one of the best fighters from our shores. This fight will be a fantastic match to watch!  The Winner out of this fight will be the number one Challenger for the  Belt of all Belts  the WMC World Title  Belt.

Sakeddao (Thailand) V Liam ‘The Hit man’ Harrison (England) Sakeddao is a top champion of both the Lumpini and Rajchadamnern stadiums. In April, he defeated the legendary Anuwat Kaewsamrit (WMC World Champion), who is a Muaythai superstar and, indeed, a ‘living legend’. Anuwat defended his World Title against Liam in Jamaica in June 2009  so this fight will be a very tough test for Liam and a chance at another WMC World Title.

Rung (Thailand/Scotland) V Panikos Yusuf (Cyprus/England) Rung is very experienced fighter; a former World Champion who has beaten Richard Cadden and many highly ranked fighters from around the World. Panikos won his last two fights by KOs and is a tenacious fighter. Both will come well prepared for what will surely be another thrilling showdown.

The Main Event WMC World Welterweight Championship Andrei Kulebin the legend from Belarussia who was the three time IFMA Amateur World Champion before he won the WMC World Title fight (proving the importance of amateur development) versus  one of England finest,  the WMC Intercontinental Champion Michael Diggs. This will definitely be a war.  There will be only one  to claim the belt of all belts,  and become the WMC World  Muaythai Champion.

Congratulations to Master Sken, Dr. Swee Lip Quek and the United Kingdom Muaythai Federation  for putting on this world class event. Be sure to watch it on Sky TV and the WMC Network.
