A huge press delegation gathered at the IFMA Press Conference  for news and updates regarding the upcoming 2009 IFMA World Championships,  shared by H. E. General Pichitr - Privy Councilor of His Majesty the King,  General Chetta Thanajaro - President of the World Muaythai Council (WMC), Dr.  Sakchye Tapsuwan - President of IFMA and Stephan Fox - General Secretary of IFMA. Over 1,100 athletes and officials from over 82  countries are expected to be participating and each country is to represent  each year in His Majesty the King of Thailand‘s life. The Championships will be a direct qualifier  for the upcoming 2010 Sportaccord Combat Games in Beijing, in which the 13  Sportaccord recognized Combat sports will participate in. Besides from the extravagant Gala Dinner, which is to  be held on the 3rd of December at the Grand Ayudhya Hotel, there‘s also the upcoming  IFMA executive board meeting and AGM. The finals, also known as The King‘s Cup, will be held  on December the 5th outside the King‘s Palace where over 300,000 spectators are  expected as December 5th is also the birthday of His Majesty the King.
