Uzbekistan's capital city Tashkent has been awarded the 2010 Asian Championships. 26 countries will take part and it is the first time that Uzbekistan has received the honour of hosting such an event, which proves the growing popularity of muaythai in Uzbekistan and Asia. This will also be the final test for Asia's best boxers before Beijing's SportAccord Combat Games.
