Destiny in the Desert boxing event is a challenge for the UAE Destiny’s Child - Elisa Aldah

Boxing promoter Jessie Robinson held press conference held in Convention center of DWTC regarding boxing event named ‘Destiny in the Desert’ organized on 24th of March. Eisa Aldah, a young UAE national boxer was looking modest, surrounded by tough and experienced boxers from America, but he hopes to become a professional boxing star in UAE. Aldah (28) has been five times UAE amateur boxing champion and dreams to become a professional. “He was training every night and day preparing for the fight of his life” Robinson said about Aldah. This Saturday he will fight against American boxer Larry Foster in a boxing fight which will become his professional debut. “It will for sure be a spectacular event,” said Yussup Shamuzov boxing couch from Dubai Fight Academy. Shamuzov as well as other coaches of Academy will be the member of match committee, serving the championship together with their American colleagues. Organizers have expressed their gratitude to the Fight Academy’s President Vladimir Burdun, who provided USA boxers with perfect boxing gym for training at Al Shabab sport club. Among the American boxers who will fight on Saturday in the Sheikh Rashid Hall are heavyweights TJ Wilson and Kevin Montiy, nicknamed Double Trouble. Wilson will fight with Marcus Mc Gee while Montiy is going to meet Eli Dixon. An Ethiopian Sammy Reta will face Carl Handy over 10 rounds. Feeling relaxed before the fight, the boxers smiled and even cracked jokes about each over during the press conference in Dubai World Trade Center. “Somebody is going to fall like a timber,” said Eli Dixon, a large then life looking heavyweight boxer, looking at his rival Kevin Montiy. A sample of Champions belt that will be made of diamonds and rubies also got everyone’s attention during the conference. The event’s sponsors, Damas, the UAE fashion jewellery network, will design the belt for the next event. According to Robinson the Destiny the Desert will be followed by another boxing show titled “Global Impact”. It will raise money to help victims of natural disasters around the world.
