In Suek Jao Muaythai at the Ormnorm Arena on Saturday 19 March, the main match was Sakdsurin (Karfaefahsai) Kietyongyuth versus Samranchai 96 Penang in a Fooktien Group program (144 pounds). The rate was drawing on Samranchai. The referee was Pichit Promkong.
The first round ended with the draw on Sakdsurin but in the second round, Samranchai managed to control the pace more and held back while Sakdsurin also bided his time, resulting in the referee signaling both boxers to fire up the match. Near the end of the round, Sakdsurin was able to attack Samranchai with knees and kicks to the stomach. The round was fairly equal with Samranchai leading narrowly 10 to 9.
In the third round, Sakdsurin attacked Samranchai with knees but Samranchai managed to dodge and would not allow Sakdsurin to hit him easily. Sakdsurin didn’t give up though, and continued to attack with knees and punches. Around the middle of the match, Sakdsurin used his skillful leg technique to make Samranchai lose his balance. Samranchai still managed to fight back, but Sakdsurin was able to respond and he ended up taking the third with a score of 5 to 3.
Sakdsurin clinched inside and attack with knees at the start of the fourth round. Samranchai attacked methodically with right kicks mixed with clinches but he struggled to make any impact. Sakdsurin began to bring the fight back to Samranchai and launched a powerful attack with knees, which gave him the advantage. The fourth round ended with Sakdsurin leading handsomely 15 to 1.
In the last round, Sakdsurin was very careful and aimed several precise kicks at Samrarnchai. He also mixed up his attack with body punches to weaken his quickly tiring opponent, but his punches were less effective than his leg work. It was enough, though, and by the end of the fight, Sakdsurin was able to control the tempo and finally won on points by 49 to 47.
