Police detained Malik on Tuesday morning. It happened that few of his friends were suspected of being engaged into unlawful activity and Malik was among suspects as well. Young boxer was kept for two nights into custody. During this time police made investigation upon his involvement. As soon as there were no evidences against him he was set free, after his friends from Muaythai gym put bail for him. It is not for the first time his connections bringing him to police station. This time Malik again got off lightly.

On Wednesday 28, delegation from Consulate-General of Thailand to Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Board members of Al Shabab club had unofficial meeting. The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai and Dubai Fight Academy organized special evening of Muaythai in Al Shabab club. Mr. Pasan Teparak - Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, attended the show.

1 bout, Heavyweight 10 rounds. Kevin Monthly (Flat Rock, MI, USA) won over Eli Dixon (Warrenville OH, USA), Decision. Kevin Monthly was looking in the ring quite in good shape meanwhile his plump opponent Dixon, was simply fat. During ten rounds Kevin was snapping Dixon's head back with solid jabs and some rights. Dixon threw slapping roundhouse shots for much of the fight, was holding and tried to wear Kevin out in clinch. However the Budda-like heavyweight was unable to put Kevin into trouble. Very close fight. Kevin won by decision.

Boxing promoter Jessie Robinson held press conference held in Convention center of DWTC regarding boxing event named ‘Destiny in the Desert’ organized on 24th of March. Eisa Aldah, a young UAE national boxer was looking modest, surrounded by tough and experienced boxers from America, but he hopes to become a professional boxing star in UAE. Aldah (28) has been five times UAE amateur boxing champion and dreams to become a professional.

On Wednesday Al Shabab club organized dinner to celebrate Mr. Yousef Al Serkal promotion. Mr. Yousef Al Serkal is a board member of Al Shabab club who contributed a lot in developing sport in UAE, football in particular. He is current president of UAE national football federation. And recently was elected as a vice president of Asian football federation. During the special dinner reports were made regarding the results that athletes from al Shabab had archived in different disciplines.

UAE Amateur Boxing Federation put on amateur boxing matches at indoor arena in Al An. The competition lasted for two days and about seventy amature boxers (juniors and adults) from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, and Fujairah joined this sport event. On the last 4 years amateur boxing in Emirates has grown into one of the most popular martial arts. This is no doubt the achievement of UAE Amateur Boxing Federation taking boxing in UAE to a new level. Dubai boxers training in Dubai Fight Academy made very successful sport performance in Al Ain.

Dzhabar (Chengizhan) Askerov fought against Shannon Foreman on Phillip Lam Promotions, which took place in New Zealand on 3rd of March 2007. Dzhabar made quick work of the bashing New Zealand fighter much to the horror and shock of the local crowd. Shannan was moving well, had injured Dzhabars’ leg and loaded nice body shot but the Chengizhan kept pressuring the distance. Shannon let the Chengizhan control center of ring, and he didn’t let up with the pressure to force a punch.

On March 24th Dubai will host professional boxing event called 'Destiny in the Desert'. The event is scheduled to be held at a purpose-built boxing arena at the Dubai World Trade Centre's Shaikh Rashid Hall. The first, after long time, pro boxing event in Dubai is being promoted by Jesse Robinson. Robinson is known as a long-time Boxing Director of Seminole Warriors Boxing Promotions.
