Dzhabar Askerov finalist of S-1, 4 man contest

On 4th of December in Bangkok Dzhabar Askerov fought on 4 men contest (72kg) during two-day MuayThai Festival organized in honor of the birthday of His Majesty, the King of Thailand. This exciting event took place on the 4th and 5th of December in Sanam Luang Park right in front of the Grand Palace. In first bout of SUPER 4 Dzhabar Askerov won Jomhod Kisatdiasak. Jomhod got dropped for an 8 count in 2nd round by the Dzhabar’s trademark looping overhand right. Jomhod fell hard.

Professional Fight Night in Ufa, Russia (Results)

Dubai Fight Academy team has returned from its trip to Russian town of Ufa, where the promoter Alexandr Gochishvili had organized Professional Fight Night. During the evening in Ufa's Sport Palace there were 7 professional fights in different disciplines - Muaythai, K-1 and MMA. There are 4-5 events happening in Ufa during the year and this visit of Dubai boxers to Ufa was just a beginning.

George Micouris is back from Thailand

George Micouris who joined Dubai Fight Academy in Summer 2006, has just came back to Dubai from Thailand. He has been training in Phuket for 2 weeks. On 31 October he fought at Bangla Boxing Stadium with Thai guy. Although George knocked down the Thai twice, judges made it draw. We all welcome George back to Dubai and hope to see him soon on the ring in U.A.E. where he is living now. Most of his fights Goerge has fought in South Africa. He has record of 15 Fights Muaythai fights, 10 wins, 4 loss, 1 draw.

Dzhabar Askerov (Dubai Fight Academy) won famous Byelorussian fighter

On 23 of August the small town of Belorechensk in Krasnodar region, Russia was blown by an outstanding sport event organized by local municipality. These were so called “No Hold Bared” fights. Two fighters from Dubai Dzhabar Askerov and Abdallah Abu Hamdan took park in this competition. Their trip to Russia was sponsored by Creative Concepts real estate agency.

Ramazan Ramazanov won by KO in Sydney

On 18 August 2006 in Sydney Entertainment Centre, 35 Harbour St, Darling Harbour, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, in super cruiserweight kickboxing bout Ramazan Ramazanov knockouted Will Riva from Italy. Ramazan is currently living and training in Bangkok and represents Dubai Martial Arts Academy sport club. Onthe picture below Ramazan Ramazanov has just knockouted his opponent in Sydney.

Results. 2nd International Open Karate Master Cup in Dubai

Today come to an end the first day of 2nd International Open Karate Master Cup (I.O.K.M.C.) organised by Martial Arts Academy. The competition took place in Etisalat Academy Recreation & Sport Complex. The main rivals in the field of karate were Iran and U.A.E. Iran which is well known as a country were thousands of citizens are involved into martial arts came out to be the strongest opponent for the team of Emirates. However Iran came second after excellent performance of U.A.E. National team. Both teams went toe to toe but finally U.A.E.

News. 2nd Karate Master Cup in Dubai

Martial Arts Academy and Etisalat Academy Recreation & Sport Complex has joined to promote 2nd International Open Karate Master Cup (I.O.K.M.C.). Today Mohammed Abbas (the board member of U.A.E. National karate team), Vladimir Burdun (the owner of Martial Arts Academy) and Omar Omari (Head Of Marketing Etisalat Academy) revealed to the mass media details of the upcoming competition. In 17 and 18 of August national karate teams from Qatar, Yemen, Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Kazakhstan and U.A.E. will compete for medals in kumite and kata.

Official Results. World Amateur Muaythai Championship 2006

On 7 of June had come to an end World Amateur Muaythai Championship 2006, organized by International Federation Muaythai Amateur (IFMA). The event has taken place in Bangkok, Thailand from 31 of May up to 7 of June and was elegantly arranged at MCC, Mall Bang Kapi. 441 athletes from 70 countries participated in this World Championship; three rings were open for completions during one week. Those seven days of Championship have brought Muaythai to another level.

News. Martial Arts Academy confirmed UAE National Amateur Muaythai Team for World Muaythai Champioship 2006 in Thailand

In 2006, King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand will become the longest reigning monarch in the World. To celebrate his diamond jubilee, the Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand (AMTAT) which is under royal patronage under the umbrella of the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA), and the World Muaythai Council (WMC) will host the extraordinary “Muaythai World Championships 2006”.
